The inevitable will happen (probably in the summer) and Zaha will leave Crystal Palace. As he's been like 30-40% of the team, it will be a monumental task to replace him. Sure, a lot of money will be made from his sale. What can be bought with them? I can think of only Quincy Promes of Spartak Moscow who is a certainty of success from the players the club could attract.

The best player in the Russian League 2 years in a row, Netherlands national team starter too (yes, they failed to qualify, but they're definitely not a bad team, finished tied with Sweden in second place), he's 26.

There are many teams from the PL interested, with Liverpool not quite sure and Southampton willing to splash between 20 and 30 million.

Other players who could replace Zaha (the same playing style- powerful, fast, capable of playing both sides of the pitch):

Pione Sisto (Celta Vigo)- but he looks destined for Barca and Real at the way he's playing right now in Spain, hard to attract him

Memphis Depay (Lyon)- another Dutch player doing well in France (did you see that recent goal against PSG? [Link] But he has played in the PL and has had some problems coping with the speed and physicality (though he was very young at Man Utd)

Ivan Cavaleiro (Wolverhampton)- on his way up with the team, a capable, strong winger, but is he really Zaha level?

Patrick Hermann & Vicenzo Grifo (Moenchengladbach)- both have had amazing seasons at low table teams in Germany, with Gladbach missig out on Europa League spots and a plethora of wingers in their team, they could be bought rather cheap.

Bruma (Red Bull Leipzig)- he's more diminutive than the others, played well for Galatasaray, but does he have the strength to cope in the PL? Also, getting players from Leipzig is extremely hard. They have money. It was very difficult even for Liverpool to buy Naby Keita from them.

Michail Antonio (West Ham)- I think this one would be a pretty exact replacement for Zaha. He has been very good for West Ham the previous seasons. He;s having a rather poor season now, but it can't take away his credits. They'd be stupid enough to sell for about 30 million cause Moyes is kind of unhappy with him (though he has always forced Antonio as a center forward this season, not his normal position). He's proven in the PL, wouldn't be a good option. Only bad thing is that he's 2 years older than Zaha, I'd prefer a younger, hungrier player for the years to come. It wouldn't be a transfer for just 2 years.

Luciano Narsingh (Swansea)- I've suggested this cheap option before. He doesn't get playing time for Swansea (God knows why, cause he's been good when he came on, used to be great for the Dutch national team and PSV), he's still just 27, no major injuries, I'd snap him up. But Zaha level? Maybe, but unsure

Matt Phillips (West Brom)- there's been talk this transfer period too. A decent player, strong, fast. But as good as Zaha? No, definitely not. Pretty expensive too.

Ola John (Benfica)- another player who would cost very little, Benfica not using him. He used to be a great promise, has stagnated lately. But he's still pretty young. He couldn't be a Zaha though, maybe in time, but it;s unknown

Eljero Elia (Basaksehir)- Another player from the Dutch school of wingers (they do make very good wingers). He's in Turkey now, making a lot of money after he had a great title winning season with Feyenoord in the Netherlands. He was a very big promise, but didnlt pull through at Juventus or in the Bundesliga. He's probably too old now at 31.

Players like Lucas Vasquez, Deulofeu, Theo Walcott, Lucas Moura, Felipe Anderson wouldn't want to come to a team like Crystal Palace, they'd have better options for their careers.

TLDR: If the club doesn't go for Quincy Promes now, there might not be anyone to replace Zaha in the summer, which would be tragic for the following year in the PL. Yes, you could try to keep him for longer as he has just signed an extension, but when the big boys will come with big offers for both the club and player it will be inevitable.

What about Matt Ritchie - not a replacement for Wilf maybe but a half decent winger. Presumably he'll want to move on if Newcastle go down. Can play on both sides. Not having a good goal scoring season but 6 assists.
