Probably our 64th pinch of salt link but .....Crystal Palace have made an €11m bid for Inter striker Eder, who is unhappy on the bench. [Corriere dello Sport]

Sounds he’s more like a number 10 playmaker rather than an out and out striker . As such he could be a good investment ¿

At the age of 30, not so sure investment is the right word. Especially if Parish expects to be excused of any sufficient outlay in the summer, due to another survival job. Not arguing we shouldn't be doing what is necessary but this is a vicious cycle we need to come away from. If we keep spunking the budget in January to buy players specifically designed to fight a relegation battle, we can't be shocked or surprised when August comes round and we find ourselves doing the exact same thing.

Whatever our policy this January, for once it needs to take consideration of a more progressive Summer. I can't be the only one who feels that this season may be our last chance of just about scraping over the line and we must take the necessary steps to address that.

If his 'playing style' assessment on wiki is accurate then he does sound like a very Roy type of player. Might not be such a bad move if we get 2-3 seasons out of him.

irrelevant. Players very often play much better when changing clubs. If they're playing poorly at their current club it's usually linked to them wanting to leave or other internal issues.

I think it would be a very positive signing, loads of experience also.

He's not a player suited for English football. He's very slow and lazy (think Berbatov). MAYBE he could do ok at a team like Man Utd, but for a working team like Palace??? No

Was he not with Swansea a couple seasons ago? If it's the same player he was s*** and they loaned him out pretty soon. He couldn't get a game when the competition was Bafétimbi Gomis so he probably isn't better than Tekers on his worst day.

Swansea are great at signing basket cases and theirs isn't a great example to follow.

Adebayor had loads of experience but he was still quite s***e.
