Just watched the highlights. As the ref blows for full time you can see and actually hear him as he goes down on his knees. He really must had suffered after the pen miss. Nice to see that passion in a palace shirt!

I noticed this last night, too. His reaction at the late goals against Watford are also marvellous He also stated that he struggled to sleep since the Man City penalty miss. As you say, great to see that level of passion.

He came out and said after the game that he hadn't managed to sleep for a couple of nights thinking about the penalty (which was saved and NOT missed).

Probably no need to open a debate over the difference between missed and saved penalties eh?!

Great player, great spirit neverthless if we go back to Swancea penalty I remember thinking if Mila repeats the same we'll get a setback!... And it happened...

Probably our best signing in the past 2 or 3 years. Brilliant player. Can't believe Roy preferred Puncheon to him at the start, but luckily he realised his error.

Roy referred after the game to the penalty miss, words to the effect of: 'people talk for months about a missed penalty but players sometimes miss absolute sitters in open play and it's just "that was a good chance he missed" and then they just move on and it's forgotten'. As ever, Roy speaks a great deal of sense.

He kept the same De Boering line up against southampton cos by his own admission he didn't have time to change or influence the team. Luka has started every game since for Roy cept Leicester as he was suspended.

In terms of fan passion, Palace are the nearest thing the Prem has to Olympiakos. (There's still a massive gap between Greek fan mentalism and Palace, mind,) I'm sure Luka is enjoying his football again and he remains one of the best recent signings we've made.

A miss is when the keeper has no effect on the outcome at all; so in this instance the penalty wasnt missed.

I'm amazed at the approach taken to Luka's pen miss and that of Benteke. Where are the cries that Luka should never play for us again and to sell him January because he took a poor penalty?? I'm not Luka's biggest fan but nor am I his smallest. He's playing well at the moment and his goal was a fantastic finish. Long may it continue. However, its taken him nearly a quarter of the season to get back to this form and he was one of our poorest players at the start of the season when he actually got a game. If he keeps up his current form then he rightly deserves his place in the side, and long may it continue. To laud him as our best signing for years though is a bit premature
