What a fantastic servant to CPFC martin kelly has been. Always tries his best whether at full back or his natural position. He has been criticized by some on here in the past but lauded by Hodgson for training hard despite being given limited opportunities. With Dann our, it looks like we need a new CB but i hope Kelly keeps his place even once Sakho returns. We are lucky to have players like Dann, Kelly, Wilf, McArthur, Delaney etc who always give 100%. i think that has been the key to our (relative) success over the past 6 years.

yup. seconded. Defensive players rarely bask in the sunlight, but kelly deserves it.

Citeh won again tonight. So the only black-eye they got recently was from a brilliant palace defense.

Going a little far there, but he has certainly had a good couple of games - heroic against City.

but there are two centre back positions- who’s to say that sakho and kelly can’t play together as first choice.

JT seems injury prone in his Palace career so far... Good that Kelly can step in

He has done well and made many of us eat our words.
Scarily though we are one centre back injury away from a Kelly - Delaney partnership!

I’ve been a staunch critic of Kelly’s in the past but would happily concede he has been great in the last 2 games. Keep it up, Martin!

Always liked him
Always reliable
Felt there was always a bandwagon against him
We've really used and abused his services and yet he's always been first class

Looks as if JT will leave for a huge amount. Kelly really is underrated. A few misguided games as the full back he isnt, getting caught square time and again still haunts us. But no doubting his resolve and cb credentials. I'm sure L'pool only got shot as he's not foreign and wasn't rated in the £billions. Their loss.

We'd be mental to sell Tomkins. Even when Sakho was fit and on the pitch, Tomkins has been the best centre half at the club this season, and I don't think it's close.

Kelly is one of those players every squad needs. On his day can play three positions effectively, and looks more and more solid in the middle.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.
