Obviously the league is the priority, but we are playing the Weed. Our squad is absolutely threadbare and we can’t really risk any injuries, after 3 games in a week are we better off playing some of the fringe players and giving people like Sako who has earned a start a go?

Absolutely not (to resting plauers)
FA Cup against our biggest rivals, both teams in the premiership, thats what footballs all about.
That said Sako's worthy of a start in any case.

Rest everyone. Start Sako. If he continues his hero form he'll win it for us. If we lose then the only people that will care for an entire week will be the saddo's over at the Brighton forum.

Then watch Brighton lose the following round to a top 4 club, then beat Brighton at Selhurst and finish above them, if not relegating them. Simples.

You have it all worked out. You should put some money on that set of results.

If I was having a bet on it I'd do everything opposite. My bets never come in :-)

In all seriousness it is our rivals in the Cup that we have the best chance of winning but as painful as it may be this must be the time we let it go.

As others have said we are thread-bare and have one striker who isn't exactly setting the world alight. Lose Zaha like we did at Huddersfield in this FA Cup game and it COULD relegate us, even if we get far in the cup.

However, I'd be more than happy to change my tune if Parish goes out and buys 2 strikers, a centreback and a winger in the next 4 days. Do that and maybe it is worth the risk if we have the squad to cope but lets be honest, we'll sign one or two players max on the last day of January.

We most certainly should rest some, Wilf, Luka and Tomkins. Keep Wilf on the bench just in case, fully expect an easy win at the Amex!!!

Rotate sensibly but never ever roll over before a game. f***ing ridiculous tactic, as proven by Stoke and Palace this christmas.

Would play one or two first-teamers.

Terrible shame but the rest will be invaluable.

THE question is will Brighton rest players ? They are at a critical moment in the League (like us) so will they rest and consentrate on staying in the super duper money league or go for busy against us ?
