There are lots of suggestions via Transfer Talk that seem aspirational in the main yet within an ever-changing football landscape, who is Palace currently targeting within the latest transfer window and what progress do you know is being made. In an ideal world, we'd be getting in targeted new players as soon as possible so as to capitalise upon remain games.

The club generally try and do business under the radar so wouldn't expect much out of the club until things are done or at least very close to being done.

Although I did hear someone on talksport not sure who. Saying that Palace haven't any real funds for this window. If true... then I guess we're looking at cheap options only..

If it was TalkSh!te I'm surprised you heard them mention us at all. I heard them talk about our game today for nearly a minute without mentioning Palace at all.

I heard that on the way back from the game today. I think it was Ray Houghton. How the feck would he know ? Also, for an ex player he comes over as extremely anti Palace. Knob.

Didn’t we put an £18 million bid in for Cenk Tosun just two weeks ago ? Well unless parish has been at the poker tables gambling all the money away I’d say there is some money to spend

I can't see Roy Hodgson agreeing to join us knowing that we only had one striker and limited funds to strengthen in January so I guess something is happening although I have no idea what

This is from the Guardian Palace will have to revisit their significant mid-season spending of last term if they are to stave off the threat of relegation, with transfer funds “ringfenced” according to the chairman, Steve Parish, and at least three major arrivals expected. The sporting director, Dougie Freedman, has been charged with securing the deals. The manager, Roy Hodgson, said: “We have only got two goalkeepers in the club, which is nowhere near enough for Premier League football. We have only one recognised centre-forward and, in central midfield, we don’t have the amount of cover that is necessary at this level.” Three signings would be ideal. Possible signings Tomas Holy (Gillingham), Kevin Trapp (PSG), Diego López (Espanyol), Khouma Babacar (Fiorentina), Danny Ings (Liverpool), Harry Arter (Bournemouth), Islam Slimani (Leicester), Gareth Barry (West Bromwich Albion). Possible outgoings Patrick van Aanholt, Jordon Mutch, Lee Chung-yong, Timothy Fosu-Mensah (possible loan return), Freddie Ladapo. Estimated budget The club’s major shareholders will find the funds required.

better hurry up or will be in the same situation as at the end of the last transfer window! Everton have already got the striker we wanted for 7.5m. Get rid of our one striker (or who purports to be) and we could have got three for the price of one.

If they let you go for anything under 50mil, I will be speechless. What do I hear you say?!!! That's Tosun coming in on reported eye-watering £7.5m WAGES per year on top of £25m to Besiktas: I'm glad that Palace chose not to compete against such a NUTS deal.

Given our long history of signing players we have been linked to for a long time, I do think (and seem to say every transfer window) that Khouma Babacar will be a decent signing. If we could get him, Trapp and a `quicker` striker I'd say that's solid business.

Any Jimmy Mac’s and Scott Dann types to poach from the level below again? Would be fantastic if we could scoop up another couple of players of their calibre to come straight into the first team. Been a while since we’ve deployed this approach and I think it has caused us problems with the squad being wafer thin, because we’ve been out and signed one big money player at a time.
"We love you Palace, we f@cking hate Man U, We love you Palace, we hate the brighton too, We love you Palace we play in red 'n' blue, so f@ck you, and you ... |
