Whats happened to him? He was playing well in pre season friendlies... Also where is Freddie Ladapo? We are in desperate need for strikers and the only striker we are using is a lazy overpaid clumsy lump.

This was the big attraction of FdB, the expressed thought home produced players were as good as those bought abroad. A club that produced Hillaire, Nicholas, Cannon, Sansom, Moses, Clyne, Wilf and so many other top players, we should be embracing that.
What's the worse thing that can happen. A youngster, after a few games may not be of the qualify needed at this level. OH MY GOD SHOOT HIM.
Or, as we do with all players bought into the team, just move them on and try another.
These nothing better than young legs having a go. What do we prefer? Older expensive legs doing fa?

With respect, we are not in the comfortable position where we can try out youngsters to see how they get on.We are in a tough relegation battle and the price of dropping out of the PL is gargantuan.

Lokilo is a winger not a striker and Ladapo is 24, and if he hasn't secured a place, even on the bench, by now I doubt he ever will.

I prefer to rely on Roy's judgment with respect to team selection.

With respect Willo, my post did not suggest a wholesale displacement of the whole team, just a youngster occasionally to add vim to the side. As I intimated, nothing to lose in having a lad dashing around, especially where there are insufficient back-ups. To place the onus of relegation on the shoulders of a youngster is going it a bit, too. Careful about what you are suggesting, Willo

Fact is would rather see Lokilo and Lumeka on the bench than some proven failures that we still see on occasion including Puncheon (sorry but no longer a great creator or scorer) and Lee. It was ood to see Wan Bissaka there briefly recently. I would not expect to see them as starters but Lokilo in particular has shown well as a deliverer of crosses and dead balls

With respect,I wasn't suggesting what you believe I was suggesting and I understand what you were advocating.

Ladapo's goal record whilst on Loan at Oldham and Shrewsbury is approx 1 goal every 5 games which is hardly impressive.

I went to see Shrewsbury with the lad in the side. On all occasions he was on the bench. But he did prove an asset when introduced. Some of our best forwards down the years have not been prolific scorers. BLUNTEKE is showing real signs of useful input without the goals.

Are you advocating you would start Ladapo up front instead of Benteke ?

Think any player in our squad with an eye for goal would do as well - if not better - than Benteke at the moment which menas the whole season (so far)...
