Just as Danny Murphy and the guy I know who knows Roy said it should go. Claims pennies on a taxi fare or two though and thought to be a bit tight, which is probably no bad thing for us on the field and not demanding higher end transfers.

He also tries to improve players' technique, which they take to, rather than some managers who either expect or hand you a memo. We know who they are.

Indeed - An experienced and very knowledgable manager.

If he had been appointed instead of FDB we would now have a few more points on the board. But the club went for the more "Sexy" option in FDB rather than a manager who had been discredited on account of the Iceland debacle and whose England reign ended on a gargantuan negative.Too old and should be put out to grass was probably the 'Mood music' amongst supporters across the land.

Hodgson is the son of a south London bus driver and they lived 10 mins from 'Selhurst Park'.

Yes Roy has had a very positive effect on the team and long may it continue but please Roy do not keep going on about Wilf could go in the January window. Instead he should be saying no, no, no and no. If this club is stupuid enough to sell in Jan then a game changed goes with him and with it our risk of relegation increases, no doubt and hopefully this has crossed the minds of Mr P, the board and Roy. Basically stop sending out the wrong vibes as for one I am extremely p----d off with it!

I don't recall any mantra from Hodgson on this matter.

Of course bigger clubs are interested but I doubt Zaha will go in January - there will be a darned outcry if he did !

Specifically read 'Newsnow Crystal Palace' his comment this morning via Croydon Guardian.

All I remember reading from Roy was if someone came calling with a big offer and Wilf wanted the move, there's nothing he could do to stop it. I've now read that in three places, which is why one could easily think he was constantly going about it. I suppose he could have added that he would dearly love Wilf to stay, but presumably he thought that we could take that as read.

One cannot stop clubs offering a sizeable amount for Zaha.Theoreticallty of course the club COULD accept that offer and Zaha could depart but I doubt he will depart in January.

I'm sure if they turn down a big offer in January they will receive other big offers at the end of the season.

I actually prefer him to not use that approach as if I were in that position I would hate for someone to say No Absolutly not! I would rather feel like I have the option but I want to stay.

Same as work really!
