Is he injured or just dropped? I appreciate he now finds it impossible to get into our starting eleven now, especially the way we are playing, but not even a place on the bench!!! It makes me wonder if he has had a fall out with Roy

Cup fixture coming up, I know it’s against Brighton but I don’t want us to play our first team, the league is too important and we are still in a tough situation.

Give the likes of him, Lee and Jairo etc a run out.

Not good enough. Put in a great shift over the years and a club legend in my eyes.

I love him, he bleeds Palace and I'm very grateful for all his years service, hope he gets some sort of backroom position with us at some point, he deserves it, he had a little uptick just after gaining the captaincy but I'm afraid it's "come in number 42 your time is up" time.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

New job at Nando's.

Sorry punch, I appreciate your stay over the years and I'm surprised you haven't made the bench at all.

I suspect he's had an operation and it's been kept quiet, unless it's something else clubs keep secret.

He's been awful since the cup final. Didn't score at all last season?

We've been much better without him so fair play to Roy for dropping him.

Should sell and he should drop down to the Chanpionship in Jan.

Dont really get this "lets keep all our favourite players on the payroll" philosophy. They are extremely well paid professional sportsmen. I expect they own their million pound properties outright and they and their families will be financially secure for the foreseeable. I am sure Punch has a lot more football in him but even when he hasn't he does not need looking after like an ageing greyhound/racehorse.... they are minted.

Thumbs up! You speak the truth, it shouldn't matter if you were a professional football player at the club in order to get a job there. Only the best and most competent should work, no matter how unimportant the job
