This Saturday against Leicester we have to replace Luca with a similar style of player...we cannot play there without a holding powerful type midfielder...we will get ripped apart

We paid a lot of money for Riedewald, and he obviously must have quality and huge potential

The odd time he has sat in front of the back four (albeit cameos)he's looked okay..up to the job

This could be his moment to be noticed by Roy...

Bring in McArthur, Riedewald on the bench?

This is what we should do, and will do. And it's more likely that RLC would move into central midfield with Sako/PVA coming off the bench onto the wing than Riedewald be trusted, I suspect.

So who is going to play right back? Also Townsend went straight down the tunnel the other night so I assumed he was injured as well. Clearly our options will be very limited.

Don't think so: [Link]

As for RB, I think it will have to be Kelly.

Macca is not a holding midfielder. We only have Riedewald who can play that role naturally.

Fosu-Mensah is not completely ruled out is he? If he is then it will probably be Kelly although Roy played PVA there didn't he on Tuesday? In the six games that he has played for us Reidewald appears to have played primarily as a defensive midfielder so seems a probable replacement for Milo.

Not good enough. Went missing vs bristol city. He won't be with us much longer

Was brought in by de Boer to play Total football. Has been a misfit ever since that turned out to be Dutch for Total Toilet. Hodgson is quite correctly playing a rigorous and organised game and trying to use Ajax-style players in that is like buying a goldfish and housing it in a hamster cage.

So the complete opposite of Riedewald
