Just seen that the above (may) have failed to declare proper accounts during the recent election.

Simplistic labelling results in an 'us and them' discussion from the outset rather than some kind of reasonable debate on its merits. In the same way as I don't trust extremists of any kind this is a group that makes most people uncomfortable. I don't suppose they are worse than Vote Leave for example but I wouldn't trust them. And I know some were bussed in to Croydon during the last election. I know this because a Labour activist of my acquaintance was bemoaning that fact. People with only one thing on their mind are downright dangerous and at best irritating.

No and I agree it may not be in the name of labour directly or requested by them. But when JC or labour come out and actually state that it isn't why would anything said or done not be associated with labour.

This was specifically aimed at those posters who just constantly carp on about 'the left' or 'the right'. In reality there is no unifying philosophy for either of those descriptions, just some commonality in their points of view. It is unhelpful to label everyone in such a crass way. And it is especially unhelpful to consider that Momentum represents all people that consider themselves 'liberal' or 'progressive' any more than Britain First is representative of all those that consider themselves 'conservative' or 'traditionalist'.

It is an irritating stereotype used by people in the absence of any argument. It's particularly annoying to be labelled as a 'leftie' purely because I have an open mind receptive to new ideas. We are in the society because we have to be, but that does not mean that we are of it.... Open our minds and let us be rid of redundant 'left' and 'right' stereotyping.
