I'll be honest he has surprised me with how well he's done.. People, myself included seem to judge him on his time as England and Liverpool manager. Fact is he's a well renowned manager across Europe. Although today wasn't great we are playing the best football I've seen at the club for some years. There is a real desire amongst the team to keep fighting and to play football the right way.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Best decision today was to leave things be and not to make some hopeful substitution near the end. Helped Win us the game IMO.

You don't manage Liverpool, Inter Milan and get Fulham to a Europa Cup final unless you have something about you as a boss. England? Meh. All the good stuff he does isn't surprising.

He has looked at the personnel and said frankly you do not merit a starting position and acted accordingly. When he arrived we looked in an impossible position, albeit we have acted early when we were wobbling. Other teams now look more wobbly and I think the table come Jan might look a whole more different. For us it looks like things are coming together. COYP !!

He has got a lot right, especially with playing Tomkins today (and WH too for that matter), but I hope he does swap RLC and wilf. RLC is 10/cm not a winger, I think we didn't get so much out of him today as a result.

and in the interviews on the telly, Croydon Roy comes across as a gentleman. A rare thing in a world full of management thugs.

It's refreshing to go and enjoy the way we are playing, I have had a season ticket since 2014 and this period under Roy, even though we are in a predicament is the most enjoyable. That speaks volumes of the man in charge.

I was thinking about this recently but Roy seems to have improved us more quickly than Allardyce did. Worth noting though that under Sam we weren't as deeply in the s*** as we were when Roy took over (couldn't get much worse really!)

I thought appointing Roy was farcical and ridiculous. How much I genuinely lol at my own sheer ignorance now. He's gunning for hero status! #COYP #Sir Roy
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

He's a cracking manager and a top man, a proper South London gent. Fulham and WBA fans were spot on about him.

Well, de Boer only had half a preseason and four matches in which to try to f*** our squad up. What he achieved in that time was remarkable, but the damage he did wasn't as deeply ingrained as Pardew could get with a whole year of poor management. In particular he didn't have time to make our fitness so bad it would take months to get back. So probably the damage was more easily undone by a decent manager. That said Hodgson has impressed the bollocks off me since he arrived: I thought he had lost it when he couldn't get Rooney and co to turn up for the Euros but it's now clear that those players were arseholes and that Hodgson is the business.
