If you get about 2 good years out of a manager these days you've done well. I don't know exactly what it is. Is it the players lose enthusiasm for the manager or is it that the originally promised funds when they arrive gradually get reigned in and they lose their edge and impact? PS - What happens to Ben Garner? Not long after Pardew elbowed him out we struggled and not long after he joined wba they flew up the table and BG was promoted by Pulis up a rank.

If he has the kind of impact he had here, its bad news for us. We had one of our best seasons ever with him. Sadly it was spread over two seasons, but we could very well have ended up in a European league place. Also, Tony Pulis available doesn't bode well, especially with Big Sam A also on the market - That could reasonably take three Relegation battlers out of the equation.

Absolutely correct...the all-round possibilities are bad news for us.

Here and at Toon he got some mileage out of a team he inherited from someone decent and when he started putting his stamp on the team it turned very quickly to s***e and stayed that way until three months after he'd f***ed off. West Brom are already s***e and haven't played proper football since Pulis sent them to the beach in the Spring. If they're expecting him to sort it out like Allardyce or Hodgson then they are very definitely onto plums. I still think this could be hilarious.

I am not sure what he could do with the WBA team. They have spent 3 seasons trying to win games 1-0 and now they are struggling defensively. We know that Pardew is not going to help them there so he is probably going to try and get them firing up front. That will open them up even more at the back. I believe they will go down if he goes there. Pulis got the best out of an average team and I am surprised they sacked him.

I was not one for sacking him at the time. However the purchases of players and hangover he has left are painful. The removal of Murray and Jedi was just plain arrogant. A lot of the issues we have are down to him. I don't think he will be a good fit at the Albion. Their fitness levels will drop and their solid defence will become like a colander.
