Sky sports / Sun are reporting Arsenal are preparing a £35m bid for Zaha to replace Sanchez. Just can not see any amount of money prizing Wilf from us in January, never mind such a low ball offer as £35m. In my book he's easily a £50m+ player. Surely? Surely we'd not let him go to the Arsenal? Or is it history repeating itself... Could this start a bidding war, but would we actually sell? Attachment: IMG_4434.PNG (124.16Kb)

If we sell in January for any amount that's the board resigning to the fact we will get relegated.

maybe it's swap deal and we're getting Sanchez? Stranger things have happened, actually that's not true is it?

We won't be selling Wilf in January for any amount of money (at least i hope we wouldn't) Don't see Wilf leaving at the end of the season either unless (unlikely) he really wants to leave or if (BIG if) we did get relegated then it maybe a different story. Personally i think we'll stay up & Wilf stays with us for at least the rest of his contract.

They wanted £20m for a defender that doesn't even make there match squad and yet think £35m will get our best player. No chance. I actually doubt Wilf would want to leave to join a team outside the Chaimpions league. Spurs is surely a more attractive club if he was to leave. The more I think about it the more I can't not fathom how he'd be a penny less than £60m

I think a journalist has sold a story to his sports editor, who is clearly desperate for something to fill a hole in the back page and link up with the adverts to the right and left of him. An 'Arsenal buys exciting player for lots of money' story will get on the end of eyeballs and could persuade simpletons to turn the page over and read more inside.

£35 million will be a decent price to get for him if we're relegated. Which we will definitely be if we sell him in January.

I think the danger is someone will come in for Wilf, from abroad, and we will have to sell him to buy the quality of player we need to stay up. Would Wilf be attracted to an switch abroad? certainly will get more protection from the ref's I posted that on 9/10 in the Expiring Contracts & January chat.

35m hahahaha yeah ok arsenal, when you see the prices of average players he must be worth a minimum of 50m. Piss takers.
