Anybody notice his reaction when Wilf scored. Roy had his fists in the air but he had a face like thunder and just gave Roy a pat on the back. Is he a closet Hammers fan? or did he have a bet on 2-1

Yeah, it was an interesting attitude to interpret. He looked like I felt. Relieved that the goal had gone in but somewhat unable to get excited in view of the fact that we clearly had enough to win the game and hadn't.

Lewington has a good history with us having been coach here before only leaving due to the need for a knee operation and he was much missed so I think there is no concern about his commitment to our cause. Edited by cp forever (30 Oct 2017 10.42am)

You can be such a prat sometimes, there has been loads of praise for his coaching ability from professional football people ,he also did a great job at the palace as a coach for Coppel

I did notice his muted celebrations but I think he and Roy calmed it down quickly as the final whistle was about to go and they didn’t want to rub it in Billic’s face. Lewington certainly went loopy when we scored against Chelsea, so I wouldn’t worry.
