Is there a case if we can of cancelling his loan in January, the thinking is that it might be easier to convince a decent striker to come on loan than sign permanently given our position.

I think Roy will try to release a loan space however I don't think it will be Fosu-Mensa. He has said his future is at Man U whereas RLC has said he is unsure of his position at Chelsea. I can see us trying to buy him in January and possibly building a team for the future around him and Wilf.

Even if RLC were available to buy (which I doubt) I think he would command a fee northwards of £20 million given he is an England U21 player who is showing signs of promise. I think we need to keep hold of both loanees as I can't see us getting a quality, experienced striker on loan and another youngster would be risky.

There are bigger clubs than us he could go to...

With the success of the England youth teams, there has been a lot of talk about prospects for reaching first teams being limited, and that youth needs to be given its chance. We have had a lot of talk from Liverpool regarding the need to pay their price (CB & MS), and keep hearing that Jose (or Man U Assistant Manager) call him every week to check progress. This is either telling us that we have no chance or that he is available at the correct price. We can, currently, say that loans or player purchases will not be needed as we have young players coming through. The next two transfer windows and the games under Roy's management before those windows will be informative. COYP

As I have said before cannot see any point in keeping a loan player who isn't playing, no point, return him and free up a spot for an attacking option, maybe buy a young right back from the championship. as cover

We've got a young right back who is very promising but not given a chance. Unfortunately Roy is not normally happy risking youth so I would expect him to buy an old experienced has-been as cover rather than a young 'un if F-M goes back. But as Dougie is involved it could be interesting to see what happens.

I don't know the precise details of the terms of the 'Loan' agreement between our club and Man Utd, but perhaps Man Utd are concerned with his lack of games and would rather loan him elsewhere to play regular football.Depending on the terms Man Utd might loan him to another club.

did anyone concentrate on FM game on tue? He is a very good player and Ward must be doing quite a lot right to keep him out of the side. Though earlier in the season he was seen, by de Boer at any rate, as a central defender? he is very adaptable and could probably cover both positions.
