What is it letting us down?

Just what is it that keeps letting us down, every season?

We’ve got a fantastic squad, great set of players, fantastic fans, well respected manager with a great history and career.

Year after year pundits say ‘they won’t go down their squad is too good’. Yet year after year, we end up in a mess one way or another.

Yes for the past 3 years we’ve somehow managed to survive, but pundits are correct, we should not be anywhere near relegation with a squad like ours.

I just can not put my finger on what it is that is causing us to become in a mess each season one way or another. Please, please discuss and shed some light on this for me.

Keep changing our manager, poor scouting, major balls up in recruitment this summer. All the talk of pushing on, rather than seeing 17th or above as the priority.

That said three teams go down every season and for the past four we've not been one of them. Our squad isn't that good that relegation is never an unrealistic possibility.

Fitness and organisation.... the fitter and better organised a team is the better the concentration and the longer keep the intensity..... both of these though are improving at a rapid rate these last few games.... so I'm remaining positive

Fantastic squad with only one striker? That's basically reliant on Zaha for creativity?

It's a ropey squad with a huge wage bill nevertheless.

Very very poor management I'm afraid from the top. We take far to long doing everything and nearly always end up with the wrong manager. Them upstairs are to blame for this mess, sorry but it's true.

In my opinion, everything comes down to the settlement of that middle management position. If we could sort out and settle the manager and first team coaches I think it would go a long way towards our team performances. A club like ours has a problem that if a young manager comes in and does well, he’ll be snapped up by a better team. We have been unfortunate that with a less fashionable manager , (pulis, allardyce) they have decided to move on. This is the position that has to be settled to enable us to build and move on.

it's simple

we have a miss fit team assembled by several different managers and 1 chairman in such a short amount of time

where as we should, in an ideal world. have a team assembled by a minimum of just 2 separate managers over a long period

You can't really call it a mess though can you. They may be out of the depth in the PL but we also wouldn't be here without them. What do you expect them to do, get us up and then hand us over? They've earnt the right to have a go at this and you can't call it a mess compared to what we were then they saved our sorry asses.

That's the only time good decisions are made because when we don't have the best manager we could hope to get, Parish's decisions are mind boggling. In fact he'll only make the right manager selection when there isn't a choice and there's a klaxon going off above Pulis or Allardyce, Pardew or Burley's head. Yes the last 2 served a purpose for a while before being out of their depth.

Parish makes bad footballing decisions and it might take relegation for him to learn to let someone else make them. Yes I know bouncing back is a big ask but his errors cost more than initially needed to correct and set us back further.

For the first season I was getting used to relegation a few weeks ago. Thinking without a striker we'd be alright is a fvcking insult. Vs a back 3 trying to push for the title/top 4 is one thing. vs a back 4 that knows the odds of being resolute is completely different.

reputations dont count for jack. Today Huddersfield are the cock of the walk.
we are breaking records for worst premier league team for a reason. Its not all bad luck, there is something deeply mediocre about all our performances. Even the first goal against Chelscum was a deflection OG.

our players are expensive - yes
famous - yes, many of them.

performing and doing the business ? nope.

i cannot name any of the huddersfield squad, and they are storming it this season.

You can't call 1 striker in the prem a mess?

The same mistake was made a year ago with left back. Only failure will teach Parish. Either Freedman kept quiet or Parish didn't listen in those 10 days before the deadline.

It was great until shower of sh1t decisions were made the moment we signed Adebayor on a free. From then on there's been too many terrible decisions that added up will relegate us and we were lucky haven't already.

I myself haven't said anything about handing us over but I have over Parish not being qualified or aware enough to be making football calls. Now Cenk's value is rocketing, our prem survival is crumbling, Freedman takes a trip to Monaco to scout him. If it wasn't do serious I'd laugh. Thank god I don't live in Sussex during this.
