Personally I think he should be using Chelsea as a positive for us to move on and start working our way up the table...our run to Xmas other than Spurs is pretty okay. Roy says "Unfortunately next Saturday there's another story" AND "Not a new beginning" Right message?

Seen another report where he's saying it is the start of us turning things around and we've arrived earlier than expected. Don't believe everything you read.
"We love you Palace, we f@cking hate Man U, We love you Palace, we hate the brighton too, We love you Palace we play in red 'n' blue, so f@ck you, and you ... |

I think he was positive and he was right about taking the obvious shine off zaha (who was exceptional) and mention about how well the team collectively played but also remained very cautious of not getting carried away, fantastic result but he's right we need to treat every game like a new story now untill we go clear of trouble and I personally believe he has the experience and knowledge to keep the players in a positive mindset.

Both items of news have the same theme. I would like all the matches before Christmas to be treated as being before the Chelsea match - we have not done well; we have a lot to do, and see if we can push Man City off their MOTD first up place more often than not . COYP

Plus that sounds more like stopping complacency by the team than managing the supporters' expectations.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Their support is going to be buoyed up by Ashley having put the club up for sale; let's hope their team isn't We don't have a bad run of games at all between now and Christmas and there's no reason for us not to move up the table, provided we keep putting in performances like Saturday's.

I think he's probably right. What he doesn't want is players and fans alike to get caught up in the hoop la of Saturday and come crashing back down to earth with a bang. Isn't that what happened last season after a win away at Bournemouth mid week followed by the Sunderland s*** shower a few days later.

I'm sure the Sunderland fans thought they were in the clear after their 4-0 against us away from home. You cannot relax in this league at all, enjoy the win yes but do not think we will shoot up the league yet. What other league in Europe would the rock bottom team be expected to win against the previous year's Champions.

He needs to be like Ranieri in Leicester's title-winning season - 'we just need to get to 40 points' keeps them focused.
