There is no point being miserable on Saturday, not least because Chelsea fans will love it.

So why not celebrate every positive.

If we get a corner, celebrate like it's your birthday, it's the end of World War II AND Palace have just scored.

Then start pointing at random fans in the other stand, and singing:

"Where were you when we were s***?"

Before you go, how satisfied were you with this posting:

A. It's rubbish. I can't stand this bloke

B. I played football to World Cup Level and I'm also a FTSE 100 CEO, but for some reason I'm on Holmesdale.net every night without fail. I think Steve Parish isn't good enough. Sort it out

c. I see what you've done. You've tried to avoid the usual cliches, but I'm afraid this is rubbish.

As we seem to have a teacher fixation at the moment I am going to say:

Sometimes tries hard but overall could do better. Stay behind and see me

I'd say -D. That's D minus, not a smiley face. And face palm of the year awarded.

If the opposition knew you were planning a chant that's about 20 years old you'd get even more laughing and p1ss taking reaction than you'd get without the online preparation.

The post was clearly a spoof. And you missed the point- he suggested pointing at random palace fans and chanting where were you when WE were s***

If Roy Castle was still alive we'd be on record breakers almost every week. If Jimmy Saville was still alive we could send him the Under 18s to try and fix us a goal. If Jason Puncheon was still alive...

Maybe better to chant where were you when we were good. I have just a slight suspicion we may be 'bad' on Saturday.

I do agree with the main theme, Saturday should be a celebration of all things Palace. Except, possibly, what is happening on the pitch.

Yep, a few wee drinks by the time I read it. Still mug, cringe though and not going to look very smart or big 'pointing at random people in another stand', even if he doesn't mean it. How do they know you're pointing at a 40 year old and not a 5 year old.

Just a muggy, cringe thing to think of.
