Anybody prepared to avoid paying tax is what I'd call an economic traitor.

Is the misuse of tax in daft projects, inefficiency, and general waste traitorous?

It's the left's notion that the answer to everything is take money away from people who have some and then p**s it up against a wall.

Yep, with daft projects like the NHS, welfare state and public libraries. Much better leaving that money tied up in hereditary property portfolios or dormant swiss bank accounts if you ask me.
If punk ever happened I'd be preaching the law, instead of listenin to Lydon lecture BBC4 |

Of course not all public spending is unnecessary, but a lot of it is, and with the necessary stuff there is huge inefficiency and wastage. Then we have projects like HS2 which will cost up to 80 billion pounds - for each tax-payer around £2,500, for what - a few minutes off a rail journey. But of course the government and the civil service know best don't they - the wealth creators are just idiots.

I thought you were talking about 'the Left' and - according to you - the way it wastes money. As I understand it HS2 is supported by the Conservative Government and opposed by politicians from all sides of the house.

Of course government spending is necessary, but it should be kept to the minimum necessary to ensure law and order, defence, roads, education, health, social security.
