The trailer is amazing. Very powerful. Film will be out in March 2018. It seems similar to Earthlings which can be seen here: If anyone thinks veganism should be criticised they should watch the whole of Earthlings as it is a real eye opener into factory farming and the treatment of animals in the western world.
Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible God and destroys a visible Nature. Unaware that this Nature he’s destroying is this God he’s worshipping. Hubert Reeves |

Sure, I think veganism can be criticised. As in, we are not designed to be vegans. Humans are omnivores. However, this is not an excuse for factory farming nor the bad treatment of animals. However, the human population continues to soar and people need to be fed. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Oct 2017 12.07pm)

GMOs, in part, help feed poor countries and I'm hoping other food technologies can solve the unpleasant aspects of both factory farming and the more terrible animal treatment. I hadn't heard of it, but I watched a few minutes of it and will watch it this week. I'll look at the other film as well.

Eating meat is a cultural thing and not about human “design”. Lots of cultures are vegan or vegetarian. The idea that we need to kill animals to feed the growing population isn't true either. The production of meat is massively inefficient, for example it takes 2,500 gallons of water, 12 pounds of grain, 35 pounds of topsoil and the energy equivalent of one gallon of gasoline to produce one pound of feedlot beef 70% of American grain goes to feed livestock and it is estimated that we could feed 800 million people with the grain that livestock eats. This is an interesting article on this topic Factory farming is barbaric. It is only sustainable because people don't really know what dreadful processes go on behind the scenes. A good book on the topic is Farmageddon by Philip Lymbery and Isobel Oakeshott.

Just repeating "we are designed to be omnivores" is the blocking your ears, covering your eyes and humming loudly approach. The use of the word "falsehoods" is very Biblebelt. You seriously want me to get involved in a discussion over that? Shall we tackle the 'flat earth' afterwards? I'm not religious. Edited by Stirlingsays (08 Oct 2017 8.12pm)
