Like most Palace fans I wasn't over enamoured when he was given the job but was ready to give him my full support but after just 3 games he has become so negative. I thought what he said about Sako 'he's just a winger from Wolves' and even worse to say about a young player Ledapo 'he's never been near the first team he's only every scored non league goals. Talk about ruin a lads confidence these will almost certainly be our strikers for the next 2 months he should be building them up. The muppet sounds like he has thrown the towel in and just looking for excuses.

why are people so offended by other people who tell the truth? At the top level of elite sport, you don't win anything by telling your players they're all brilliant and wonderful all the time, or trying to kid people things are 'good enough'. if they're not good enough they need to be told so that they can improve. If they can't improve they shouldn't be there. And certainly if they can't take criticism then they don't have the character to be at the top level. Don't give me all that crap about players needing a cuddle - yes praise and encouragement are important where appropriate - but they need to know in no uncertain terms what is expected of them or they will never get there. Depends how it's done, obviously. I don't agree with telling Ward to watch a kid to learn how to play wing back. I don't agree with pushing someone out and then a week later inviting them back in. I also don't agree with not playing Tomkins but instead playing two 20 year olds in a back 3. One of which had arrived 4 days before, and that's with Ward and Luca near them who hadn't played in those positions for the last 3 months vs a premier league team that had. So irresponsible it's a disgrace. Man management demands a bit of emotional intelligence. I doubt Roy lacks it when needed. What he lacks is time and a striker.

Roy's got enough experience to know when to critisise a player and when not to. I don't think he needs to be looking for excuses, they're pretty bleeding obvious.

Because he's not an #rsehole and obviously has shown that he has a plan to get us out of this mess. The results were against two very different level of opponent as well. If Roy had started the season as our manager we would almost certainly be in a better position than we currently are.
