It seems like I tend to get insomnia

ditto on match of the day, which means my ironing doesn't get done (Saturday night ritual - MotD with the ironing board). I get the hump on match day, but then I remember that I have a lovely wife, two fantastic kids, an intellectually challenged dog, and I'm financially secure - I can't be too upset about some blokes kicking a bag of air around. I think it helps that I have reached rock bottom on expectation, so our ineptitude is no longer unexpected

It used to bother me and have a similar impact as others have described. However, since being involved in a car accident 18 months ago which left me with life changing injuries and losing my cousin to a massive stroke at the age of just 39 last year it really has woken me up to realising the important things in life.. And football just isn't one of them. (I do still have my season ticket though!)
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Used to really affect me. The Pardew 2nd half of the season were we couldn't win a game was traumatic. Since then I've deliberately made sure it doesn't get to me so much, plus I've now got far lower expectations and kind of except that sooner or later we'll go down.
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |

Don't worry about it as have other things going on! I just sigh, roll my eyes and mutter FFS under my breath and do something else more interesting! I go a lot less when we're in the Prem / 1st division as it doesn't ever feel like Palace to me in quite the same way as when we're in the 2nd tier battling away! Not blinded by the lights at all ...

I missed the Burnley and Southampton games as I was on holiday. Totally ignored last week's game and got my spare bedroom painted. If I stop watching football I'd have many more free hours and more money to do other things. But on a miserable Friday morning I'm still checking this website for news instead of getting my work done. What's wrong with me?

I let my season ticket lapse after many seasons a good few years ago now. What I have discovered is I now just can't see how I used to fit it in - I can barely even find the time (or enthusiasm if I'm honest) to watch us on Sky now

As long as we don't go bankrupt thru' failure then I am actually finding our woefulness quite entertaining and sleeping very well thanks. Most now would like a steady w,d, and loss ratio to get to 38/40points but that just sounds sooo boring. Rather we did a Leicester. Cut adrift by Xmas and then the miracle begins. That's the Palace way.

Can we be prescribed something for this?
