Around the 37 minute mark on the podcast, they was discussing playing the kids.

Completely agree with this, let them have a go. They'll bring energy and passion get the three 'L's in and shake things up a bit. Plenty of experienced heads around them to help.

Would far rather see one of the L's, than Punch flapping his arms about trying to catch chickens....

You can't throw kids in this situation, their reputation will be destroyed. Especially given the circumstances of no goals, no points. Parish got us into this mess. He must find a solution, whether it's getting a free agent.

Please don't tell me you're referring to ladapo as one of the L's and a kid.

I did, as he's not broken through yet but i get your point he's not exactly a kid at 24. Even more reason why he might be ready.

Free agent would be good, but still think a space on the bench for one or two of them might be a good shout.

Worse case scenario is they get some experience prior to helping us get out the Championship next year..

But yes Roy would have to treat them carefully but thats not to say that they can't be used without wrecking them. Could be the making of them..

Guess it depends if there good enough.. Not many other options, so I say get ac couple on the bench at least.

I can see why you wouldn't want to play a kid but that depends where you play them. For instance, right now you wouldn't play a rookie keeper or centre half as their mistakes can be highlighted. However, with Benteke out i would definitely have Lumeka starting or a Kai Kai. Why not?! Give them a go. It'll lift the fans and at this moment in time the 'we've got nothing to lose' mentality will ease the sense of pressure.

I remember Marcus Rashford getting a go in similar circumstances. Fcuk it, just do it!

Fully agree! Their confidence shot to pieces bla bla bla? What a lot of tosh, the whole team seems to have thrown every little bit of confidence away. A raw young player on top in a team with no goals in 6 PL games - what do we have to lose? Or him, he can't do worse than miss a sitter....and we're used to that anyway. Said it before, think Benteke out might be a blessing in disguise....

I've often wondered what the point is of even having the kids if there's no intention of playing them. All this nonsense about them not being ready etc, are they gonna be 28 before we think they ready.
Just my thoughts!

Only Ladapo, of those mentioned, is a forward; the rest are midfielders. If we're going to play a midfielder out of position, it would make much more sense to use an experienced one and, if necessary, use those with no PL experience in their accustomed positions. If we're not going to use Ladapo, in circumstances when we have no other striker, then we may as well get rid, as he's never going to play.

Kaikai was woeful up front vs ipswich young team. Lumeka isn't a striker.

If we play Ladapo or one of the kids then the fans, the management and the players all have to be ready for them to miss chances without getting on their back. I'm just not sure right now that this is realistic. From what little I saw of Ladapo in pre-season he didn't strike as being willing to chase every ball, which would make up for some shortcomings.

At a push I'd put Townsend and RLC upfront with Kai Kai taking Townsend's spot on the wing. Failing that, can Mutch play upfront?
