Feeling optimistic

Ok the next 3 games are horrific. We probably won't get any points, so we could be on 8 games and no points. I think we all know tomorrow's game at the Etihad is a virtual write off, but trying to be optimistic if we were able to get our best eleven on the pitch the following week at Old Trafford, and two weeks after that, at home to Chelsea (who we do have a good recent record against) we might pick up a couple of draws to stop the rot. But thereafter, i feel our season will really start. The thought of Wilf in tandem with the likes of Andros and RLC, and having Sakho up to speed at the back, i can still see us moving up the table. I feel there is a really good team there somewhere. We just haven't seen it yet

the thing troubling me is that the games after the next 3 ain't exactly easy.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

You are correct and Frank is the reason we haven't seen it yet.
I also feel as you do , optimistic.

We are reaping what Parish has sown. He's made Palace into a sh1t club. So players are going to come up with all sorts of personal terms to wangle out of coming here. It's now a sh1t club. Parish has established our PL identity as a 'sh1t club'. Cabaye will leave and players of his quality will leave because this is a loser sh1t club. They didn't sign-up for this every season. Parish has done this one season too many. We've got proper 'sh1t club' status now. You can fool some some of the time but not all all of the time. If I were a top PL player wanting European football and national selection I wouldn't touch this club with a barge pole. You think zero goals after 5 matches is Benteke's career plan? He'll be leaving too. Top players cannot trust this club to take them to the next level. Screw your optimism it's unrealistic.

If we can just score our first Prem goal of the season within those three games it will feel like a massive victory and I will be getting drunk. So what that we let in 12 against?

We won't be out of touch by the time the next three games have been played. We'll then start to gather points and be fine.

Yes, that sounds like a realistic assessment of our chances in the next three games.

Can I just be clear what I think you are saying here, V4V? You think we are a sh1t club, right?

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)
