- Benteke from 6 yards when it was nil nil at anfield
-Missed chances/CYL v Burnley
-Ward on the line for their goal/missed chances today

That season when we were flying under Pardew I was walking away from games thinking 'how did we get 3 points there?'
Not saying we are playing well, but we could easily have scraped 5/6/7 points by now. Unlucky to lose our 2 best players , Zaha and RLC.
Nearly all the goals we have conceded are individual f*ck ups.
Gutting at the minute, but better than zero points from 5 games.

Couldn't afford with our fragile confidence to gift them the first goal, but Hennessey did just that. Sorry, but it's true. After that their keeper kept them in the lead. Don't concede early and who knows?

Agree with Casual.

We haven't had the breaks, but Lady Luck will smile again . . . one day.

I would rather heap blame on Cabaye who totally switched off and allowed Davis to run past him and shoot home. And Schlupp wasn't the best in allowing Tadic to run past him and cross the ball.Shambles all round.

Not the first time I've seen a ball hit straight at Ward standing on the line go straight through him as though he weren't there. Perhaps he's a holographic full-back. Perhaps we should decompile his program.

But we still had 90 minutes ( with added time) to try and get something out of the game.
We're badly missing Wilf and his creativity but with the amount of kicking he gets from the opposition he'll probably be out on the sidelines often this season.
We need players willing to try and grind out results rather than fold over.

As soon as we stop playing players out of position we should be ok.
I would stop playing fish-mensah at centre back firstly, we are overstocked with them and it is not his natural position. I would play him at right back and drop Ward.

I would also drop hennessey for speroni.
Centre mid, milovojevic needs to be in front of the defence, with cabaye playing the deep lying playmaker and loftus cheek box to box. Basically I would drop both punch and MacArthur.

Up top Townsend and zaha if fit. If zaha is not fit I would give one of the winger spots to an actual winger (Kaikai or Lumeka). Seen enough of chungy.

Up top Benteke. No other options which is a shame as if we had another viable option it would be time to drop.

Watching the game yesterday how we didn't score I don't know

I hope the biggest thing highlighted to Roy yesterday is how vital Luka is at DM for us. Very much doubt they'd have scored if he'd have started.

All though due to form I can see why he didn't. But now he's got to be brought back in to the first team lineup.

I've just looked at it again and confirm my original impressions.
