I think he's already made that pretty clear. We're bloody hard work for any manager coming in after one of our sackings as we're always already in deep sh*t. I can understand why Sam doesn't want to dig us out of the muck heap again.

I'd do it even for instant sacking and a pay off.

Steve did speak to him today asking him for his thoughts.
Allardyce re-iterated that he wasn't ready to return to PL management.

"..go back in"?

Makes it sound like a managerial Black Hole of Calcutta. Which, of course, it is.

Didn't he issue a public statement announcing his retirement as the reason for leaving Palace?

Now he's not ready to return to management at this current time?

Only a matter of time before he pops up in the opposition dugout. Another in the long line of departing managers mugging us off

Cheers

Allardyce has made it perfectly clear that he isn't interested in returning to club football but a return to International management at some stage might interest him.

He has said this a number of times, but it doesn't stop some people finding it difficult understand.

Having managed for some 25 years, I can totally understand why Allardyce at his age has called time on club management.

I'd take that crystal ball back to the shop if I were you.
