I thought he looked class when he came on, even better than Lokilo. We have obviously got some real talent coming through the academy with the likes of Lokilo, Hungbo, and Kirby as well

Looked class? Looked ok but not someone that's gonna come on and win us games. A lot to learn and that showed. Didn't look class.

You beat me to it. Exciting prospect given flair and composure showed but needing to stay grounded and continue to work on his game. Would like to see him get more game play (not necessarily starting) next Saturday at home vs. Southampton.

Getting close to the bottom of the barrel now looking for positives. 1-0 down, 20 minutes to play and our first substitution is a 19 year old making his debut. Second substitute with 10 minutes to go is a centre-back. Thought we had 24 players in the squad and this is the best we can do off the bench.
First match 5th October 1974 - not a good day! |

I thought he looked real good, composed, decent touch, looked for the correct spaces. Was calling for it more than others. Looked far far better on the ball than Lee. He looked IMO as if he'd be able to play at this level. Did he look like a world beater on his first game? No obviously he didn't but if you think just cos he didn't come on a win us the game that he doesn't look decent then well, I'd say your expectation levels are way way to high. He was absolutely ready to pounce on Bentekes chance, I recon he'll score goals for Palace.

A CB to try to get something with minutes left.

Think at times the lads were hesitant in playing it to him when he was clearly in great positions calling for it. He looked hungry, composed and intelligent... Far more than you can say about Punch...
