I understand Parish and co took a long time interviewing managers before deciding on fdb .They must have fully understood his qualities and the style of play. The necessity for new players to fit in to this style. I would suggest he has been rather thrown to the wolves. not fully supported in transfer market. And when new style (as agreed and supported by parish)isn't immediately effective....parish throws him to the wolves.

To be fair his style of play in the past has been 433 which you would argue suites our players, and he talked about evolution not revolution. So our start must have taken AP a little by suprise. ..

I'm not sure how that would help tbh. Some acknowledgement of things going wrong? He can't really speak out on that now as that is a complete admission of failure and throwing FDB under the bus. If Frank leaves we may get something though.

That and we over £30 mil net and were prepared to spend over £10 mil on Niasse. It's not a lack of funds, 'or backing', which is a loose term and doesn't explain the situation or relationship. What the op do if as an employer his employee went and changed his plans after getting the job to something the workplace doesn't suit? Would you throw the full £40 mil at it when you know it'll take £100 mil. We could've ended up with 9 CB's and 14 defenders and the manager without a clue as to how to make the transition or changeover.

The change in management every season is putting us behind the rest. SP can not buy players that a new manager might not want if we can keep the same manager we can be ready for the start of the season, however having only one striker is a big mistake FDB should have had a list of players he wanted it may be the case he did and we could not get them but either way its not good from the men in charge.

Parish has to solely responsible for the sorry state we find ourselves in, his slowness in appointing a Manager after Sam left is just the tip of the iceberg, the lack of investment in new players after the shambles of last season when it was clear to most that the squad was not up to PL standards and needed a major overhaul. The insecurity within the club as a result of Manager turnover in the period of the last four and a bit seasons, dismal home records over the same period, inability to attract players or decent managers to show any interest in coming to the club, bad decisions on transfers in the past with a lot of them spending more time on treatment table that actually playing or they are just not PL standard, emphasis on expanding ground capacity which will be absolutely pointless unless we can consolidate our PL status, meddling in football matters without the necessary skills or expertise. It is true that SP ET-AL, did a lot in saving the club in 2010 but that is all in the past and its is now time for him to move on hand over to a better leader for the future wellbeing of the club.

Walking out of the play off at Wembley, I couldn't see us staying up the next season, but here we are 4 years later still there. I think Parish deserves a little credit for that at least. Many of us could/would have appointed Pulis, Pardew, Allardyce at the times the club did.

It wasn't long ago, tables weren't produced until 6 games gone. Now after 3 games, you think we are in a relegation battle, a bit over dramatic with 35 games to go!

We need a proper experienced director of football and Parish to take notice of him. Not Freedman. Not a yes man.

For five years in the top flight along with an FA Cup final ? Yes. Rocky times at the moment but most of what's happened in the last five years has been pretty decent.
