What a top guy, great video! I remember bumping into him in Crawley outside Lloyds bank when he played for us, signed an autograph for me, made my week!

Comes across as a thoroughly genuine bloke. Interesting what he said about Newcastle and Liverpool and them wanting it in the contract that he couldn't play for his country. Made me have even more respect for him that he turned that down because he wanted to play for China. He was a very good player and I have good memories of his time with us.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Brilliant interview and I'll admit I felt a little emotional watching it. Never a dull moment with Palace with the ups & downs, the financial problems and the rest. I guess it rubs off on some players and you can see in the interview he has a very real soft spot for this club.

still got my "FAN 5" printed shirt, what a player he was for ys, complete utility player, played anywhere central. didnt he used to leave for large amounts of time for international duty, asia cup?
