I think it's about time all this nonsense was brought to an end...publicly back him until Xmas allowing him time to settle in now that he's agreed to change his style, or get rid of him now..

Whilst there's no definitive noise from SP you can understand why the press are putting 2+2 and coming up with the latter as being a possible reason for the delay.

Thanks for this link and with Frank not being mentioned in the re scheduled conference, not looking good for him at all right now.
All rather odd as he was specifically chosen over other candidates by SP with a specific brief after a six week search to find the right man.
I appreciate this is a results driven business but surely, it is only fair and reasonable for him to be given a little more time to turn things around.

And you are fuelling it on Hol.
When did he say he is changing his style.?
Parish said it's a results driven business, which is correct, but you do not sack your choice after 3 league defeats.
He will be given time.
If we continue to lose Frank will be sacked.
Let's hope he goes with 4 at the back at Burnley and we win or draw.
Dougie is waiting in the wings.!!

I was/am a 'Frank out'. However, if he's agreed to change the style, you have to at least give him the next game.

Otherwise the International break was the perfect time to fire and hire a new Manager. Not one day before the next Premier League game.

The only way this is sensible is if Frank absolutely refused to change anything. If he looked Parish dead in the eye and said "Puncheon has been the best player of the last 3 matches and the players suit 3-4-3 formation" then he's mad-man and has to go.

Let's not forget though with the added lift of Sakho, if you go 4-3-3 the team pretty much picks itself but with upgrades to Sam's team like Fosuh-Mensah at right back and Loftus Cheek instead of Puncheon.

It doesn't take a very gifted Manager to do well in that situation and it could lead to a run of 10 good results for example that then mean he can slowly start implementing 3-4-3.

If we go back to Dougie we have no future. I'm not saying I like De Boer's version of the future but I do want to see the club have one. Roy Hodgson wouldn't have one because he's 70. Allardyce wouldn't have one because even if we convinced him to save us, he's already retired once and doesn't look like he fancies a 5 year project.

Dougie doesn't have a future simply because he's not that good a Manager. He'd be a Keith Millen until the better candidate come along.

IF and it's a big IF De Boer turns this around he still could be the right man. I'd certainly leave him in charge for Burnley for goodness sake.

he has to be given the Burnley game, hes said hed drop the 343, so lets give him one game, unless he wants to walk, I doubt that.

Can you imagine if UTD did this to Fergie back in the day, we may be onto something special with Frank you never know, just one more game I say.

There are no direct quotes but I've seen a couple of articles suggesting he's accepted that he has to in order to keep his job.

I hope you're right in that he gets a chance, I was and still am a believer that he'll come good.

Don't we always have our pressers on a Friday?

I think so. It's a Sunday kick off anyway. Selection possibilities can change after Friday's training.

The official Palace site has a big picture of Frank and states that he will be taking the Presser on Friday.

The Express are being hysterical.

Maybe reducing the time between the press conference and the game to 48 hours will prevent Burnley from being able to react to his precise details of how to beat us?
