I see much negativity written about Steve Parish.
People seem to forget where we were a few years ago....on the brink of extinction with a threadbare squad made up of loan players, youngsters and the odd journeyman...
We are now an established Premier league team with a fantastic squad full of class players.
Yesterday we added to that with a player that last year was simply an inspiration to the whole club and we have to thank Steve for getting his man....his relentless persuit of Sakho has meant he has come home...at the right price.
Yes we have missed out on a goalkeeper and a forward but only because Steve was not happy with the deals on offer...we have the loan market to get us through to January.
If FDB is not the right man Steve will deal with this in his own time.
Steve Parish is the best signing our club ever made....thank God he is still here.

How can we forget when we aren't allowed to move forward because there is always someone reminding us of where we came from on a daily basis.

I disagree, he keeps making poor appointments which lead to sackings and relegation battles every year. Dragged out the sakho and benteke deals for ages just to bend to Liverpool's demands on both occasions anyway.

Are you Steve's PR man?

The loan market is now closed to us too so we are effectively stuffed and if anything happens to Benteke we can wave goodbye to the Premiership

Even if Benteke stays fit it's still not good. One forward? It's s***.

what a load of complete and utter rubbish.

granted, the guy has done amazing things for the club but of late this hasn't been the case.

yes, don't forget where we have come from but how long do you want to keep remembering for? 10 years, 20 years? until we are allowed to voice an opinion on sp

I get your point reference Sakho, A signing we all wanted, But we are clearly short of a keeper no cover on the bench if Hennessey is out for a few weeks. and no adequate cover for Benteke up front if he get injured or banned, The window is now closed we have our quota of loan players, No one else is coming in. So what would you suggest we do if either of the scenario's above happen, Don't you think such urgent matter should of been dealt with a long time ago by our Chairman? He has had all summer to sort this out, In my opinion yes the club was saved and I am as grateful as everyone else, But surely he has responsibilities and can't forever hide behind the I saved the club banner, In my opinion he is well out of his depth as is Frank the current manager, The management appointments he has made in the past are generally poor. It can not be a coincidence that no one out there really wants to stay around or come here in a Management capacity. He has difficulty attracting the right talent, And in the past for some reason has been hell bent on appointing ex Palace associated players into management, Can someone tell him playing for Palace is no recommendation for a Management role.Glad i got this off my chest. I still cant fathom out why he has left it so late and then says we had 2 more we didn't quite get over the line. Pathetic if you ask me, And i think he needs to make a statement to explain where we are heading

Parish has lost us 2 managers Holloway and Pullis over transfers, also had the audacity to take Pullis to court over his bonus payment, how much money have you received Parish for being in the premier league through Pullis keeping us up. Well done on getting Sakho you saved us a hole 4 Million when we could have had him from the start of the season and may be had some points on the board.

If he's so wonderful why hasn't he authorised the purchase of a RWB, back up striker and Goalie.

There have been mistakes without doubt. In particular the latest managerial appointment and giving Pardew too long.

But some of the things being said after 4 years in the Prem an FA Cup Final, securing outside investment etc are really unfair IMO.

I'm starting to think he's actually part of the problem at the club and why we don't ever seem to be able to kick on.

There never seems be any sort of plan in the transfer windows, the constant dithering over signing players and dragging out managerial appointments. He said we need to stop thinking like a small club but we need to stop acting like one.

He seems out of his depth at this level but appears to want to do it all himself. He either needs help or to step aside and get someone in who can move us forward.
