Can we confirm he is ready to play after his injury?

Doubtful as he cannot be in any way match fit even if his knee is sorted - I don't expect to see him in Prem action for a while yet?

Extract from his interview:
“I feel really good and trained really hard to try to come back at 100% level,” he added. “I am still having treatment and I’m starting to train again, so we’ll see with the doctor and the physio how far away I am to starting a full game.”

Which is an admission to he is STILL injured ... we've signed a crocked player

They say hard work never hurt anyone ... but why take a chance?

The club panicked and signed Sakho, because they felt that this move would appease the fans since all other moves fell through. This was a disappointing and disastrous transfer window. If we believe we should be on the Everton, West Brom level as the second tier of Premier League we need to make a plan, identify targets early and be decisive in those moves. Right now feels like no forward thinking only what can make us survive today. I though FdB was going to change that but the Board and fan base (booing every backward pass) isn't allowing it at this point.

So now we spent big money on a guy who won't make an appearance until October or November at this point.

I Can Imagine the meltdown on HOL if Parish had not bought him !, FDB would still have somehow got the blame as well mind.

Hope he is in before the next Huds game in the C/cup.

However, If I was negotiating (in my dreams), I would have gone and got another box to box CB for around 8 mil and any other targets with the remaining 22 m. Come Deadline Would not buy Sackho but keep in the bidding, Liverpool would keep him. But he would then sue them, I reckon he would win, as the papers and public would be on his side. 'Pool would bottle the court case since the solicitor's fees would cost more than his year's wages and release him on a FREE transfer ... BOOM BOOM !!! GOT SACKHO FOR FREE, and a spare CB if injured again. !!! ( it was a nice dream).

I agree. It's a little old Palace mentality and it's as if it's ingrained into the mindset of the club from top to bottom.

I remember an old expression. Attack attack attack.
Personally I reckon we have made a grave mistake in our priorities over positions.
We are very weak up front now while buying in injured defenders.
This is all way beyond my levels of football intelligence.

Mental.... why would anyone think we should be at Everton's level?

Sort your unrealistic expectations and you might not constantly feel disappointed.

We didnt buy Sakho to appease the fans. Have you seen how poor our defending has been this season.
Last season he improved our defence 100%. All the players raised their game. The bloke is a born leader something we clearly lack

Is the correct answer.

With Sakho in the back line Kelly and Ward for example were solid defenders. Without him they were not. That is not a coincidence. Similar effect on Hennessey and Dann. Tomkins continued to function after Sakho got injured; Dann we don't know because he was out too; Delaney went to pot completely but I suppose even Sakho cannot reverse aging.
