Niasse and Sakho, Parish pulling the strings leading to a FDB exit, or is FDB toeing the party line now? Thoughts?

SP is becoming like Ron Noades . Wants to appoint managers that tow the line and do what he says .Thats why so many managers leave , they are not allowed to manage . A story of another business man thinking he alone can run a football club

Only Pulis has walked away under a cloud and with all the NDAs and behind the scenes stuff we will never be privy to why Holloway - Sacked/ left but still respected us And that's just the premier league managers. So your assertion that SP is driving out managers is wrong

Tbf to Parish, the players he recommends (Bamford apart), seem to come off for him. It was Pulis who was turning his nose up and Wilfred Zaha coming back. If it wasn't for parish's persistance, where would we be without him. Also, getting him to sign a new deal was a great bit of business. I don't think Fasu or Jairo are Parish's deals, but he can't help recommending players. If I had wasted money my on the likes Mutch/ Sako/Zeki and Lee on previous managers reccomations, id be a little more persistent.

To be fair to Pulis, he wanted to sign Sigurdsson but Parish went for Wilf instead. Love Wilf but yeah

Parish had a 10m deal lined up for Sigs and wanted him at Palace...he has said himself the deal was in place and it was a strange situation but the player then chose Swansea.

Would you let FDB have a free rein of your cheque book?

It's a tough one, both players that parish has pushed for zaha and sakho are both fan favourites and both players anyone can see will improve our squad. I'm sure this season these 2 will both prove to be key players for us but at the same time unless there's already an agreement I think you should leave football decisions with the manager you've employed and put your trust in. At the same time managers these days seem to be less interestled in coaching and just want to buy success every year. For the money they earn the least I expect is someone who can come in and be able to work with a group of players and identify each ones strengths and be able to adapt their tactics to the strengths of the squad. If de boer uses the excuse of not getting in the players he wanted then make no mistake that's a massive cop out. I suppose you need a good relationship between the chairmen and manager which at the moment we don't seem to have.

I suppose you need a good relationship between the chairmen and manager which at the moment we don't seem to have. I do think you make some very important points, the trouble with SP is that he is so controlling and autocratic in his people management style. As you rightly say, empowering the people you bring in to the job is very important but you almost get the impression that SP dictates to the manager how he wants them to play and I suspect that is why so many good managers have not been interested in Jobs at CP. Silva went to Watford rather than CP because he could foresee the problems that SP would create with his controlling manner thus not allowing people to use their own creativity and flair. The trouble with working in the small world of PL is that the word soon gets around about the managers and various chairman and their different styles of running a club. What we really need is a good Manager who can get the basics right which in the first instance would be stopping the other teams from scoring so easily against us and then gradually improving the performance season on season with good planning in advance of the types of players we need to acquire for the future wellbeing of the club.
