I wouldn't blame him and if the club don't get any new signings in then he's only going to be sacked eventually due to poor performances

complete shambles as usual

Nothing out of the next 6 or 7 games and he should walk. Not holding my breath for anything else.

Or he can do what he's paid very well to do and play the players in their usual position. It's no surprise we look better when 2-0 down and revert back to a back four.

Sh*t source anyway, not the most believable.

It's not what he was brought in to do though is it and not what us fans were told upon his appointment? If it's making the best of what we've got then that's a very different brief to what he was hired for

He was brought in to make 'gradual changes', not go back on that weeks after getting the job and making dramatic changes. This is quite clear and his quotes give him very little excuse. It's a 3 year contract, not a 3 month one, chuck it all on red.

Can we merge this thread to one of the multiple threads?

Has he been badly injured.

Of course he's not going to be sacked three games into the season, unless there is a total breakdown - It'd cost a f**king fortune to pay out his contract.

Now he could resign, but he'd be a f**king idiot to do that without another job lined up, because, he lose out on the income, and if he's been 'tapped up' and resigns to take another job, likely to end up in court ala Pulis or Dowie.

"Evolution not revolution", his own words. But he looks as though he wants to force a revolution on us and it's started to go t**s up very quickly. Now he's looking for a pretext to get out of it. He knew what squad we had and what we were likely to try and do in the transfer window given available budget, and to claim that his expectations of transfers weren't met is to kid on that Parish told him that we had £100m+ to spend. Even if he did, that statement would have been so ludicrous that only an idiot would have believed it.

If he carries on like this he will be totally toxic and in that case he might as well f*** off. Of course if he does he'll be finished; people will view his stint at Internazionale as being his fault rather than the club's, and say that these two spells have only one thing in common.

I'll say what I've said a could times in the last 48 hours. Parish has a lot at stake here and I bet both are hoping that each other delivers and we get through this. It does neither any favours to tear everything up and end it now, and neither does it do either any favours if either don't deliver what was both promised, possible and sensible within the restrictions of a club of our size.

The situation and agreements and efforts made and gone against are out there in the public domain. For Frank to fvck this up and come out smelling nicely would take seriously talented PR work, something even he couldn't believe he could pull off.

No messing about now.

Whilst the next 12 hours will not make or break our season (I believe we have enough with what we have to be okay in the right hands) it will certainly leave indelible marks on FDB and SP if it doesn't work out right.
Even if it does work out transfer wise FDB still has to make it work.
The whole thing is very sad for us fans.
we are not asking for top four - just stability and one season of good old mediocrity - however boring it might be!!

Where has FDB claimed that he was promised this amount? I haven't seen that anywhere but either way I expect he was promised more than one sub-£10m signing. That doesn't mean it has to be silly money but something around the £40m mark is not astronomical but we're not even committing that anywhere. 11hrs 10mins left of the window, let's see
