Woke up to the news on TalkSPORT that we are lining up a permanent move for Joel Campbell. I know it's deadline day and lots of links flying around but I think this could be realistic.

I was on holiday in the Canaries at Easter and met a couple of Arsenal season ticket holders who told me that Joel Campbell joining us was a nailed on certainty. At the time I hadn't heard any rumours at all and since then we've changed managers so I don't know whether there was any truth to the rumour back then but this one does pop up in most transfer windows

Always liked this player and gooner mates always speak highly of him. However isn't he coming back from a bad injury? Could make a medical difficult. If fit though would provide good competition in a couple of positions.

Joel Campbell is essentially a left-footed striker but can play on either wing.He himself has said he is good in one-on-one situations and is certainly direct with pace.Has the courage to shoot from distance and takes free kicks over a wall. Edited by Willo (31 Aug 2017 9.45am)
