Klopp is apparently prepared to let Origi go with Newcastle interested according to reports. He scored 11 times last season mostly coming off the bench and he can play anywhere along the front line. I dare say that Liverpool would want £30 mill for him though.

So the £30m we'll have to lay out for Sakho along with another £30m (possibly) for Origi? Can't see us spending anywhere near £60m - especially on only 2 players.

Sakho and a couple of relative cheap buys before deadline I think . . .

And if they say £30m they mean £30m.

Will be available again in the summer. Can't see him making the liverpool squad for next year. Once you go on loan, you're forgotten. Wolfsburg might even go down, but he didn't have a bad season himself.
Plays as both winger and striker, has much more speed than Benteke. His price has gone down so he should be available.

Edit: except when you're from that same country and called up to the national team.
It's like a national pride for Chelsea now, so they won't let RLC go. That's what I think.

Origi on the other hand......

I see he's made the Belgium WC squad so Matteo is correct he must have been doing something right at Wolfsburg.

Given the glut of strikers/forward options at Liverpool you'd have to think he'd be available if only on loan. He's quick and able to play both centrally and wider and could be a great fit up front for Wilf - certainly more natural in that position than Andros if we choose to play that way again.

Price? It does get a little boring funding Liverpool's raids on Soton. If he features at the WC we could well have to pay over the odds again. But then again Danny Ings must surely want a little more action than he gets!

the bindippers have pulled our pants down twice now. mainly because we were desperate for both Benteke and Sakho. I think they are both worth around 25% to a third less than we paid.

Not so sure with Sakho as he's young enough to add value and be sold at a profit or we should at least recoup the outlay - provided of course we don't just run his contract down!

Benteke yes i guess. But then again I'd have said no this time last year.

Origi is a 23 yo player though, totally worth 30 million.

But, from what I understood, Klopp is waiting for him to come back from Wolfsburg (where he's had a pretty good individual season) to have a talk with him about his future at Liverpool.
Solanke is on his way out on loan. Who will be the 3 backups for Salah, Mane and Firmino next year? Sturridge probaby will go. One of Fekir/Lemar will come in. One of Ings and Origi will be kept.
Origi seems the only one who can actually deputise as center forward too, cause it's a position where they aren't actively searching for a player to transfer.

[Link]

32 goals and assists against top division teams in the last 3 years (4600 minutes as center forward).
1 goal or assist in less than 150 minutes.
Really fast too, deployed as winger several times
