Now, before everyone gets the wrong end of the stick, this isn't a spoilt brat , toys out the pan rant, it's a genuine statement and question.

I've been a fan of Palace since my early teens when they used to give tickets out to the local schools to encourage us to swell the ranks at matches.

When i first could, i bought a season ticket and , along with a couple of friends began 'that' journey on the rollercoaster.

Over the years friends and family have changed and moved on, people have differing commitments and our day out has evolved.

Over the past 2/3 seasons i've begun to not enjoy the daily experience, mainly the football element. This past Saturday after that awful performance i genuinely felt like i didn't want to watch them again. Now, as I say, this isn't just because of this one match, its been building over time. I'm not a fairweather supporter either, it seems that the team are not providing any entertainment any more and its all becoming a bit drab and predictable.

Does anyone else feel the same way or begun to feel this way? I'm really considering the future of my season ticket ongoing from now....

I'll probably get slated for this. Fan since 1988 but only go sporadically. Went 3-4 times last season and it was like groundhog day every time. Playing against supposedly inferior opposition, concede and then the wheels fall off and you just know we're not getting back into it. Any team that comes to Selhurst with a terrible record, it's curtains for us.

Toyed with the idea of going to the Swansea game last weekend. So glad I didn't. I don't want to waste my money on this garbage anymore. Our home record is absolute toilet.

I've been going for 37 years and it's sad to say but I get very little pleasure from the football or the supposed match day experience the only enjoyable part of the day is the pub beforehand I'm pretty much just going out if habit

I understand what you are saying mate and yes do agree with you the footballing side has been dire and tbh genuinely affects my mood too you are not wrong, there are also times when I bemoan my season ticket.

Of late anyone who recognises my username might agree that I have been prone to hell, fire and brimstone posts or aggressive responses of here due to my frustration and anger with the club although I'm not too proud of this. To be fair though that is because I feel I do not have any choice in being a Palace fan and I am as wed to the club as I can possibly be, my dad was a Palace fan and despite being brought up in a very Millwall themed environment it is just who I am and have always been, not since my early teens.

Therefore without being to harsh or offensive I would consider you as a 'fair weather fan' and can't really help you TBH

On the other side though I would say should we make some movement in the transfer market and come back with a renewed sense of purpose things may improve after the international break, but don't hold your breath!

is a tough habit to break. It was easier for me because I moved to Sussex 5 years ago. On the couple of occasions each season I made it to Selhust, I was distinctly underwhelmed. Huddersfield was the most recent.

Just take a breather now and again. Hopefully the excitement will return
