Anyone on here, or any journo suggesting that FDB is "clinging" to his job is in cloud cuckoo land. Dont we learn? Have we not seen Parish operate for years already, a leopard doesn't change its spots. How long did it take him to fire Pardew? Holloway had to beg to be fired. Parish has a love affair with Southampton, he keeps going on about Southampton doing this or that, transfers, adaptation to premier league etc. So when SA left he dithered around for way too long and hired a guy who would probably do pretty well at Southampton. Here is the problem, we are absolutely nothing like Southampton in terms of the players we have and the way they have played for most of their entire careers at Palace. If you actually think about what Parish has done here, in hiring FDB, its completely bizarre. De Boer played a patient passing game and possession based football at Ajax, with a team of fantastically gifted technical footballers. Need I say more? Why on earth was he hired? Dont tell me other people rejected the offers, then find someone else who is suitable. Parish's luck has finally run out with this appointment, it is a total clanger. The only way he could make this work is giving the guy about 80 million quid to totally revamp the squad. This will go one of two ways, FDB will somehow sort this out, with 3 new players coming in tomorrow being instrumental, or this will be a disaster and Parish will dither around, trying to save face, and then the Americans will finally force him to fire FDB around January - just too late for a new manager to come in and have a good January transfer window.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I agree that FdB has turned out to be a total clanger. 'Rumours' suggest tha Parish has fallen out big time with FdB. If this is correct, my guess is that Parish will fire FdB as soon as the transfer window is over. The thing with Pardew is that Parish and Pardue got on really well, and he gave a man and a manager every possible chance to turn things around. If there isnt the necessary chemistry between Parish and FdB, then I would expect FdB going pretty soon to allow someone new to come in during the international break. This is a total crisis for Palace. IF FdB adapts, becomes flexible (he is very familiar with 4-3-3 for example) then he might just surviive if results pick up big time.

According to the Guardian we're about to back him by signing Vorm Sakho and Jansen, just missing a RB and we'd have what we've been begging for.

Maine Eagle SP talks about Swansea not Southampton.
Frank will be given time.
If he continues to lose he will go,but not until at least Christmas.
You lads should refrain from believing everything you read and only half of what you see.

He does suit Southampton currently much much more than us, that is true.

But in this industry we have to do a few things before sacking someone we've hired, unless Frank decides to walk:

1. Sign a few quality players.

2. Give him some more time with a few games.

3. See if he adapts away from 3 at the back, back to 4-3-3 he and we have always worked with and implement things more gradually as was agreed.

We stick to 1 and 2, Frank sticks to 3. If he doesn't and results continue he'll go.

Mensah will be 1st choice right back once we have quality CBs playing. It's the 3 at the back that not only doesn't suit is yet and we're short of players for, it stops us from being strong at RB, lb etc etc.

It will all depend on results. Play 7 lose 7 i reckon will be the end for FdB. Then we have a big uphill battle. Look at our fixtures. Not good.

I understand the frustration of this post but I don't think FdB is working under the same circumstances as Pardew.

I was a real Pardew outer as I have been with FdB but as mentioned before Pardew had a close relationship with SP which FdB does not. Pardew also guided us to our highest finish in modern times and a FA cup final which probably bought him more time, even for myself as I said I was strongly in favour of sacking Pardew but weirdly actually wanted Pardew to succeed.

I think it certainly hope SP will face a real backlash from the fans if he does not sign anyone. However, if he does and things do not change i.e. We don't pick up any points or at least a win from Burnley and Southampton I certainly feel SP will pull the plug on Frank.

Just my opinion here however!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

And months ago we were looking at how good a start we we were given. Now after a big roll of the dice we've chucked 2 easier games with Burnley away to come and Southampton who're struggling to score at our's.

If players are signed or not at this stage is secondary to my concern that Parish hired De Boer in the first place. Its the equivalent of Inter Milan appointing Colin. It is an awful, awful decision and shows a major lack of judgement. I think if this doesnt work out, and it doesnt look good, Parish should think about finding a way out of running the football side of the club. He can run the business side, but he is not, nor will he ever be, a football man.
