Actually asking for a fee is in itself surreal. A £3m loss on a potential sale is offset by the wages saved until 2019. Please, please let this happen, and I wish Jordon Mutch all the best for his playing footballing future, as he has no future at CPFC, clearly.

Could actually be a good deal for them for this season. Hasn't got what it takes for the Premier League but did well in the Championship previously and there's plenty of players better suited to that league who don't make it on promotion. And with 46 games in a season it's not exactly a sinecure.

It's players who look unfit and out of shape and take a wage and don't try, this is the sort of knob who I wish no good fortune. Mutch was one of these. Never looked in shape and never looked bothered.
