Anyone feel this could be the case. Another earn on 100k a week. I'm not denying he deserves it but has it left this season budget tight.

What your thoughts

Hope your right, because normally managers at this stage. Say for instance we need 4 more. As a minimum we need 2. Gk and striker but I'd love a leader at the back. Sakho please.

If we were in league 1 yes.

We didn't buy Chambers for £20 mil, not because we don't have the money but perhaps because we bought Riederwald and there are 3 players absolute minimum we need, possibly 5. If Frank didn't decide on 3-4-3 before assessing the squad it wouldn't be so many.

One or two will have to go to do all this trading and juggling/reshaping. We needed £100 mil to do this safely but we're trying to do it with a net spend of £30 mil, £40 mil absolute max, with possible need to sell someone in January.

How many times does it need to be said, Sakho is still out injured and no sign of his return soon. So, we aren't going to be buying a £30m player who can't pass a medical.

The main concern for me is that if the likes of dann, Delaney are struggling in a formation, then injuries will make come into the lineup. Say for instance by the end of the window. We have 11 players currently comfortable in this 343. We don't have the back up for it.

Agree, with you but do you feel we lack a leader at the back?

Thought we'd have left a loan spot open right to the end, in case they can't sell him and we could have given them a fee for the loan, with an agreed fee to buy him in Jan/next summer.

But that's not the case is it? I'm sure he was quoted as saying his preference was 4-3-3 but having assessed the squad he felt 3-4-3 was a better option with the players we had.

Edit:

Speaking ahead of Palace's match with West Brom in Hong Kong today (Saturday), de Boer said: "I am very fond of 4-3-3 which I have played in all my life, but on the other side you have to look at your squad and I think that right now 3-4-3 is the best system."

How does buying Riedewald have anything to do with whether we purchase Chambers or not? Riedewald and Chambers play completely different positions. Chambers is WWWWAAAAYYYY over priced by Arsenal and frankly after watching him at Middlesbrough on loan first Chambers isn't frankly that good and second he certainly isn't worth 20 million.

Why do you think he is still injured when he was training before he left us in May? Albeit not match training but biking, weights and jogging.

TBH yes BUT we freed up about 80k by selling Mandanda.

We didn't have more than £25-£30m to spend this summer, if that, because we spend some of our summer budget in January to survive.
