Reading reports that Wilf is out of action with knee injury for 4 weeks

I am not surprised with the buffering he gets every match, however I have no sympathy for the management who have dithered all summer not strengthening the squad which has been evident to most people

At least it's when we'll probably lose every game anyway I suppose.

Time for selection and recruitment to get very very serious. None of this whole of the right side of the team starting in their positions for the first time ever ffs.

From a mate of mine at the game

" Wilf had no protection on Saturday and was targeted from the kick off. I was sitting behind the Huddersfield bench and you could see the coaching staff celebrating every time he got crunched. Scum."

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Wilf & CPFC team do need to wise up a little as he will be targeted by all teams in the future.

It is only what CPFC would do if the opposite team had a player like Wilf.

After the number 2 for Huddersfield on Saturday got booked CPFC tactics should have immediately been to get Wilf to draw him into another tackle or mistake to get a second booking.

Tactics so often used by Man Utd when Ronaldo was there

Personally, when I watch Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc., my mind isn't "Let's go and put a boot up their star player." I'm thinking, let's try and play good football and beat this lot.

This of course is an idealistic point of view. The issue for us is that the focus is so much on Zaha as our creative outlet. The view of the opposition is "Stop Zaha, stop Palace" and that so often is the case. Now, I am happy to give FdB time to find his feet even if it means another season near the bottom, but I am hoping Zaha's injury will bring focus to our need for attacking reinforcements. As good as Lokilo might be, at 18 he will be bashed up like a tin can if he performs well.

Who knows though, maybe Schlupp will prove effective as a LF for us.

This is absolutely f***ing disgusting.

Moss has a history of letting other teams do whatever they like to Zaha and his comments to the player on Saturday make it abundantly clear what his attitude is to fair play and player safety. We now have a key player missing for a month because of his negligence and incompetence. It's f***ing scandalous.

In a fair world he would get sacked, the FA would get sure for damages, Huddersfield would be fined and docked their three points and the players concerned would get retrospective bans.

In this world of course if our manager utters a word about it he'll be fined and what's happened to Wolf will be just tough f***ing s***.

And on Saturday Grujic will be given carte Blanche to hurt whichever Palace players he likes. Last time he appeared against us Tomkins was out for a month.

C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas le foot.

There's the problem, we're little old Palace and we get f*** all from refs.

Fuming if this news is true.

During the 2nd half I saw Wilf hobbling about then stopping and so on after going to the ground. To me he certainly didn't look comfortable.

I didn't see anyone from Palace come on to see what maybe wrong if he needed treatment, maybe he should of been taken off there and then? If taken off the time off injured may not of been as long as what it is going to be.

I thought I saw Wilf starting to walk in the way to go off the pitch but as we started to attack he changed his mind and decided to go towards the goal uncomfortably.

Time now for Townsend to step up. That is if he stays!

This was bound to happen. He gets hacked and receives no protection from the ref.

Hope he makes a swift recovery.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
