Right, I know it's early days and I not suggesting to sack de Boer just now but he's either got to back him in the market for the rest of the window or suggest to mr de Boer that this isn't Palace DNA. The managerial search took over 6 weeks debating over whether what style suits the next Palace season. Unless we bring in players that suit this system or de Boer has a rethink about system. Can see this ending in tears. Is 8m and 2 loans enough to implement a new style. Half team want play football and half the team can't. It's a mess at the moment. Surely he knew that going from big Sam to FDB was a risk, in that he's risking our prem status. With mr dyche apparently happy to join, would of been a safer choice. Imo We wouldn't of lost today.

Do you lie any blame at parish door, with this appointment or is he unblameable ?

Ffs it's been one f*****g game. Most people were over the moon when he joined. Now after one game, SPs an idiot for employing him and in one fans view 'should f**k off back to holland. Yes today was poor, very poor, first 2 goals were very bad. But he changed thinks in thd second half, and if it wasn't for a wonder save from their keeper and an awful miss from dann, we could have got something out of the game. We all knew changing to a new style would take time, but it's something we have to do if we want to do if we want to do more than survive in this league....

You're right, De Boer has a 0% win record with us - absolutely disgraceful. Parish needs to take a long hard look at himself for hiring a man who's lost 1/1 games in charge.

Is 8m and 2 loans enough to implement the new style?

Hennessy, ward, dann, puncheon, PVA - not good enough

When de Boer was Announced, he said he'd slowly implement a new style. Has he tricked parish into getting the palace job. A manager finds a system that suits the current crop. Not having Ajax fantasy formation and try and fit a Palace team in it.

Had we won how convinced would we all have been that this system was what we had been waiting for. Not many I suggest so equally despite the dire performance should we be thinking things will not improve. Parish and the board have decided to change the way we play they have chosen FdB to do it. There is no way that they expect it to be achieved in one game. FdB has said he will assess all the players before making moves in the transfer market for players that will help bring about the change the board wants. This is the first game despite the disappointment give FdB a chance and the board for appointing him. If you look at the teams in the Premiership every team is trying to do business and not getting very far so boys cut us some slack and make a more considered judgement on Parish and FdB at the end of next month. We may be well behind the rest by then on today's performance but we may be winning with a team of several new faces.

at home to a team that are relegation favourites, as are we after that performance. Lets face it the investment to date in this team is abysmal and especially as we were so bad last term. Early days for FdB yes, but if he cannot beat a team that came up via play offs then not much to be positive about. Well is SP to blame?, the answer has to be yes, it takes him ages to agree a loan deal and just maybe its time for him to move on and give the job to fresh blood, who is a quicker and better decision maker with new and fresh ideas, otherwise this can only go one way "down"!

Only the first game, every game after this is far harder and against much better opposition.

I think to judge our situation after one game is premature. But I will say that for Steve Parish to appoint a manager that's philosophy of how to play is so foreign from the game we have traditionally played over the past few seasons, And to not back him in the market is unbelievable, But typical of his style. To say he is an astute Chairman, look at some of his appointments, Holloway, Warnock, Pardew he leaves so much to be desired. We currently have one recognised striker, we are a goalkeeper short and need someone to lead the defence, Today's game reminded me of the Pardew days where we were conceding so many goals, The board need to back Frank in the market, For him its like fighting with one arm behind his back,

We are not relegation favourites with this squad. Either we'll get the reinforcements to make this system work or ditch it, but FDB isn't enough of a mug to blindly persist with it if it repeatedly fails, I'm sure. If he does stick with it and we're bottom at Christmas, I'll hold my hands up.

As for investment, 'abysmal' is a silly assessment. £50 million spent last summer, about £32 million last January. You can have a go at Parish for not getting transfers sorted quickly enough, which is a gripe I have too. Hopefully today's performance will prove to be the bi-annual kick up the arse he seems to require.

I think a lot of us were expecting 4-3-3 with a bit more possession, not this crappy 3-4-3 which doesn't suit any of the players. He will lose the dressing room very quickly if he doesn't adapt. I was so excited with the de boar appointment as well, but at the moment he's looking like a poor mans pardew.
Let's stop pissing around, change back to 4-3-3 , get in sakho, and some creative players or were f***ed.
