Will Tomkins be Sold?

Played little minutes in pre season. Can't seem to play well with Scott Dann. I personally thought dann would be sold, it seems as frank de Boer doesn't hold him in high regard. Favoured Luka to him in that Rcb spot. Playing in the schedule u23/reserve game tonight. Thoughts Edited by Dan89 (08 Aug 2017 7.32pm)

I hope not aswell. He's good. I would rather see Kelly or even Dann go first. Don't get me wrong, Dann is good aswell but if I had to choose.

Where do you lot come up with all this rubbish? two weeks ago Dan89 you were saying that's it Dann won't play and he'll be off and i said you are wrong and i think the same now. I do agree we need to of load the dead wood we have we have not sure how we do that, so please just wait and see what happens over the next few weeks

I've only come to this conclusion as de Boer hasn't even given Tomkins a start in pre season instead preferring Luka who isn't a cb and stated he's not comfortable. He may stay but he's future doesn't look like it's at Palace in my opinion. Also the thought that even with the signing of fosu- Mensah de Boer wants another defender. If so where does this leave Tomkins. He one of the biggest earners at Palace, can we afford to pay him 65k to be a reserve.

i agree with most of that but Tomkins is going to be needed over the season for me i'd play on the right of three where i think he'll do a good job move Luka back into midfield asap and the new kid at RWB. if we do bring another CH which i agree with you on i think he will.don't think it's anything to do with money unless we sign a couple of 100k + week players them you naybe right.

It'll be a lot to do with money. We've made some business decisions over football ones in recent times. Murray, Gayle, Jedinak. The art is balancing them with other activity. There is every chance we sell someone with money in transfer fee and/or wages being factors. We would rather not have too many £60k per week players as back up.

after a bit of a shaky start with us, i thought tomkins started to look pretty decent. i also think he'd be ok on the right of the 3.

Can't see Dann or Tomkins or Kelly being sold. Due to contract and age I can unfortunately understand if JimmyMac and or Cabaye move on. I suspect we may have already agreed fees for both. Just a hunch.
