Can't help thinking that it is probably what he most wants for understandable patriotic and, more than likely, family reasons. He has served us admirably but he is in the twilight of his playing career....

Over a couple of news sources again today. I'm not sure he is up to defending after watching him last year with players running past him. No doubt about his attacking quality. This could give us a chance to blood a youngster. He is 31. [Link]

You all still realise that he remains the best all-round midfielder at Palace, don't you?

Letting him move this late in the window would leave a yawning hole in our midfield, unless a like for like replacement is already lined up.

Given the glacial pace of Palace transfer dealings so far this Summer, I doubt that's happened.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

Frank used Bakary in the Asia cup , he might have seen something, these Dutch and their total football, you never know.

Bakary Sako is being primed to catch the tracksuit tops just before kick off. He needed to be fitter for this task.

I think de Boer wants to trade and is willing to listen to prices for almost any of them to get the funds to achieve his vision.

I also believe Riedewald is critical for his vision. a touch more pace and passing out from the back and also cover for Luka.

he can use yc but if the money is right...

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Hope we keep yohan.

I think a 3-5-1-1 with Zaha given a free role or 3-5-2 and Benteke and Zaha as strikers

If that's the case he knows very little about how transfer business is conducted at Palace. We need to be strengthening the existing squad not selling assets in the hope of replacing them. As for Riedewald, he's been given a squad number at Ajax and, if it ain't happened by now, the odds are it never will.

Sako in central midfield makes me shiver with dread! With his first touch he'd probably drop said tracksuit tops!
