Anyone got any idea exactly when Wickham is likely to be fully fit? It makes a huge difference on how urgent it is to buy a new striker.

Don't get me wrong because I like him but can't see him playing many games again. A big man but needs to be wrapped up in cotton wool. I am sure somebody will know but don't think he has ever made more than about 5 games running before an injury came along.

The type of injury he sustained will make him slower. And speed is something he needed.
Poor sod looks like he will be lucky to make the premier again.
Big heavy players seem to suffer. Look at Sakho. Where is his fitness today?

Mark bright said he's back in training in October after having a recurrence of the injury. So being actually match fit you looking at Nov

I think need to give up on him as a permanent sick note & he hardly pulled up any tree's when he was fit!

He's made of glass, so he'll be back for about a month and then off again. Anyone could have told Pardew it was a stupid buy.

Accept scoring the goal that sent us to Wembley, and the banger against Man City. He's a good player. I hope he returns.

Yes he's been out with injuries, but I wouldn't kick him out just yet. I think he's as good if not a bit better running at goal with the ball at his feet than Big Ben. He offers something different. Maybe a loan around Christmas might be in order to get him game time.

So if he's back before xmas he will have done well. Even then with such a serious injury he may have lost pace.

Although I like him he really is more of a liability.
