Scroll to the bottom of the link... A very 'non solid' piece of info linking us to Remy on a free transfer. Personally on a free and reasonable wages I'd be willing to take a punt. If he can stay injury free I feel he could still offer something as back up.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Would take him all day long on a free with reasonable wages , quality player if we can get him fit and capable of playing as the lone striker or off of a target man.

He impressed me when he did get on the pitch , even more so the fact he had barely played for 18 months , which is the problem , name me a better striker for free that would be happy being 2/3rd choice striker for crystal palace ?? If fit remy would start for any team outside the top 6.

True it was only notloB, but the team thus far had been utter s***e and they changed the mood and tone of the game like that. Remy did look class when he did play, but his injury record last season was shocking. An injury-prone player and a Pardew fitness regime is a recipe for long stints in the physio room. If his fitness could be sorted out such that he were actually available for most of the season he would be excellent. How possible that is I don't know but unlike Pardew de Boer is not an idiot.

If we had a deeper squad and money to gamble with he might be worth a punt. As it is we already have Connor Wickham....having both in a squad would be utter folly.

We didn't see the best of him last year, as he was injured for most of it. Lee will have seen what he can do and Remy knows the club and players.
