We seem to be linked to every Dutch player across the globe, when I saw him play for psg, I was always impressed. He's very attacking fullback and a pretty strong crosser of the ball. Comes through the Ajax academy and has a lovely wife.

Thought I'd make this suggestion before the papers do it next week.


Better than ward in your opinion?

Defo better than Ward, and I could name ten or fifteen players better than Ward. Don't get me wrong, Wardy is a decent right-back, but he can't put a cross to Benteke's head (or feet!). Van der Wiel (as my son has informed me as he plays FIFA) is very pacey, and has the 'skills to pay the bills' (?). Watched a few videos on the old YouTube, decent player. Will ping em up...

Was definitely a great player, unsure if he's prem quality now. How good is the Turkish league.

Turkish league is alright, famous teams like Galatasaray and Fenerbache.

This lad looks sublime at crossing, Benteke will have a field day getting on the end of his pin point crosses.

Just hope he also knows how to defend as well but if so he looks very good.

Would people rather him than Calum Chambers ?

Yes, because chambers is more a natural cb.

Probably fee, unsure about wages because GVDW was on big wages at psg. I like Chambers but like Kelly suited to that cb role, hasn't got blistering pace, whereas Van der wiel an attacking full back.
