he was on the subscription radio station over here again, so no link. quick rundown:

* why FDB? great player pedigree. handled youth at ajax awell. that's a good model to emulate. personal connection with FDB. plays a possession style of game. SP laments that we can't break teams down at home and very open against the counter.
* how many candidates interviewed? 8 or 9. then down to 3. negotiations, etc. picked frank from there.
* new players? something FDB is evaluating. changes will reflect FDB's style and what he wants to do. (again- he goes into lamenting that we give the ball away too much and open to counters).

*****working on something today. someone FDB feels good about. almost there.

* sakho status?: very negative on it. he was on loan. that's over. "not sure that one's going to work out." (paraphrasing): we have other business to get done and this one isn't going to work out. tone was very much, "forget it. not happening." read into if he's playing poker, but did not sound like it in any way.
*style? again, goes into possessing the ball. need to be better breaking down opponents. tighten up midfield-defense link. were way too loose year. luka helped but needs to be better. gave up too many goals at home (cites burnley match).
*goals for the season: staying out of relegation. be like SH. not relegation threatened. improve style of play.
