Read that. Thought fair enough (if all true). At least he didn't wait until 2 days before the first game. We are increasingly stronger and Parish is perhaps one of the best chairman in the league. We have come a long way in 7 years, perhaps further than the previous 100ish. And while it would be good not to swap managers every few minutes, perhaps hanging on to a manager who might be a bit dated and clearly unmotivated wouldn't have been right for us anyway. And also a manager we took on for a specific purpose. There are many good managers we can now consider - Silva seemed decent and perhaps we can think even bigger. We have ambition, solid structure, a massive fanbase, fanatical passion and cash. I would say thanks to Parish and Allardyce for keeping us in the Premiership. I think we should see this as part of the stunning growth (which brings growing pains) we have done these last years and as a great opportunity to move to the next level with an ambitious and talented new manager. Bring on the new manager. Bring on August.

Fair enough and hope he has a happy retirement. When he came here there were questions raised in the media about him lacking fire in his belly. I wouldn't have wanted a manager who'd lost interest in the game managing the club or hanging on until they were fired. Plenty of time to get someone new and long term in. We probably have one of our best squads ever and the future is looking up. We must be an attractive proposition for any ambitious manager.

Anyone who wants out of Palace can go. F@*k him and anyone else that wants to leave. That's not to say I'm ungrateful for the job he did, but his heart isn't with Palace and we don't need to be p!ssed about a la Pulis. Attachment: Fat Sam.jpg (310.13Kb)
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

Wish him all the best if he is retiring and thank him for 5 eventful months and some famous victories. Have a nasty feeling he'll crop up at another club in 6 months though.

He'll be managing another team in December stating how he feels refreshed after his break.

Being an emergency manager and rinsing the TV cash off a desperate club every season. What i will mind is if he has a job lined up to go very shortly and for the start of the season. That was Pulis's intention, Sam has left 3 days after the end of the season. We will find out but you can't slate someone for something you think they'll do.

He'd been ill for the last year or so but worsened over the past couple of months. The thing is, he was very comfortably off 15 years ago but continued to work, ''Before i knew it i was 70yrs old. The time just flew by'' he recently said.
